- The new 2014 Mini Cooper Hardtop is the first of the next generation of Minis. Compared to the prior model, the 2014 model is wider and significantly longer. A turbocharged 1.5l 3-cylinder engine is the new standard powertrain. Horsepower is rated at 134-bhp, up from 121-bhp in the prior model.
