NEW CITROËN BERLINGO
Launched in 1996, the Citroën Berlingo was the first of its kind. A van with a special, integrated body style combining looks and functionality. From its innovative debut to the present day, the Citroën Berlingo has never stopped moving forwards. Fully redesigned in 2008, it is gaining further improvements today: a more robust, modern and expressive body style, with styling upgrades that reflect the Marque's current design cues, and functions that give it an even greater lead.
Expressive and elegant
First, the front end. The New Citroën Berlingo gains a wider, more strongly rounded grille, with a new chevron badge rising up to the headlights. The headlights maintain their original shape but the functions are laid out differently. The indicators, for example, are now on the side of the light unit, and are underlined by blue segments to show an even stronger personality. The wider air intake on the front bumper gives the vehicle a stronger stance.
Viewed from the side, the first main upgrade concerns the styling of the exterior rearview mirrors. They gain a more aerodynamic design to further reduce fuel consumption and thus CO2, emissions while maintaining clear rearview vision.
At the rear too, the New Citroën Berlingo clearly states its identity with an updated brand logo and, on versions equipped with a tailgate, smoked rear lights.
Rounding off the upgrades inside the vehicle, the existing upholstery has been replaced by the new "Gazyban" style in Bizantin Grey/Bise to increase comfort and give the cabin a more modern look
Ergonomic and intelligent
Looking beyond its attractive styling, the New Citroën Berlingo is also remarkable for its robust, practical and roomy architecture. With a maximum load capacity of 4.1 m3, and with intelligently designed opening panels, such as the wide sliding side doors or 60/40 rear swing doors opening to 180°, the New Citroën Berlingo is able to carry two euro pallets easily and safely.
Adapting to the needs of business customers, the New Citroën Berlingo is now available with an optional all-wood finish (floor, wheel arches, side protection, etc.) and a variety of coupling solutions. For more ergonomic use, it is also available with a 3-seater Extenso cabin and folding passenger seats.
For an even safer drive, the New Citroën Berlingo is now available with static cornering lights integrated with the fog lights and, on the HDi and e-HDi versions, a fixed speed limiter enabling the driver to set a maximum speed. For more difficult conditions of use, it can also ship with Grip Control to increase traction, or hill-start assist.
Performance and respect for the environment with a version emitting 123 g of CO2/km
The New Citroën Berlingo ships with a range of engines and gearboxes that meet high standards of performance while also respecting the environment. It offers a choice of one petrol engine and four diesel (see table below). Although these engines are identical to those of its predecessor, a number of significant improvements should be mentioned. The HDi 75 engine, for example, now emits 133g of CO2 per km, compared with 136g previously. This improvement can be attributed to aerodynamic upgrades, such as the new exterior rearview mirrors.
On the e-HDi 90 Airdream EGS6 model featuring e-HDi micro-hybrid technology, CO2 emissions are even lower at just 123g/km. Looking beyond its ecological qualities, this powertrain delivers real ergonomic benefits. Doing away with the gearshift completely frees up the space between the driver and passenger. To change gears, the driver uses a fascia-mounted knob, with steering-wheel paddles for manual mode.
NEW CITROËN JUMPY
The New Citroën Jumpy combines a rational use of space with high standards of onboard comfort including, in particular, a driving position closer to that of an MPV than an LCV. Available in two lengths and two heights, it fits business needs perfectly. With capacity of up to 7 m3, a load sill of just 49 cm thanks to the pneumatic rear suspension, as well as wide sliding side doors for loading pallets, and rear doors that open out to 180°, the New Citroën Jumpy is more ergonomic, more efficient, and easier to use from day to day.
Expressive and elegant
In terms of styling, the New Citroën Jumpy gains a new front end with, for example, a wide chromed grille of new design, featuring the new chevron badge, and extending up to the headlights. The new brand identity is also visible at the rear, for immediate identification.
The restyling of the New Citroën Jumpy is also an opportunity for a shift upmarket in terms of equipment. The aim is to enhance safety and convenience in day-to-day use. The New Citroën Jumpy is available, for example, with hill-start assist, and a fixed speed limiter enabling the driver to set a maximum speed.
Reassuring and relaxing
For safe, relaxed driving in all circumstances, the New Citroën Jumpy is available with an optional low tyre-pressure monitor that displays the wheel concerned, and Grip Control. This advanced anti-skid system adapts to circumstances to optimise traction in all situations. Using a selector on the dashboard, to the left of the wheel, the driver chooses one of the four modes available, in line with driving conditions (normal, all-terrain, snow or sand).
Ergonomic and dynamic
The New Citroën Jumpy is now available with a six-speed automatic gearbox that perfectly reflects its functional, ergonomic and versatile character. This automatic gearbox is mated to the HDi 160 engine. The dashboard-mounted gearlever contributes to a more ergonomic drive.
With a manual gearbox, the New Citroën Jumpy can be mated to the following three engines: HDi 95, HDi 125 and HDi 160.
Particular efforts were made on the New Citroën Jumpy to further reduce CO2 emissions. To this end, it can be fitted with aerodynamic panels underneath the body and a "volt control" function to optimise battery charge management by the alternator
