The MDX continues to be popular and extremely competent. A trend setter when first introduced, the MDX seems less trendy as the market has filled out. In terms of value, the MDX has been upstaged by its Honda sibling, the Pilot. The MDX is based on Honda's global light truck platform and is powered by a robust 265hp V6. No V8 is offered. It provides a luxury car feel with excellent ride, maneuverability, and a cabin that is roomy and comfortable. Unlike other competitors, the standard AWD anticipates wheel slip. The MDX is not intended for off-road usage.
