The Audi Allroad is an expensive all-wheel-drive wagon in the same vein as the Subaru Outback but costing 5 - 10K more. Essentially, this vehicle is an all-wheel-drive A6 Avant sporting a nifty ride-height control. This model has the utility of a wagon but the extra ride height and the all-wheel-drive provide a sort of psuedo SUV substitute. Pricing keeps the Allroad in a rare category. Eventually this vehicle will yield to a more traditional SUV offering based on the VW Touareg.
