The vehicle to replace Dodge's curvy FWD Intrepid sedan turns out to be an edgy V8 powered rear wheel drive station wagon. Although the Magnum RT has drawn the most attention, the Magnum ranges from the base SE RWD model powered by a 2.7-liter V6, to the SXT model powered by a 3.5-liter V6, and on to the 340hp HEMI powered Magnum RT. Full-time all wheel drive is optional on both the SXT and RT models. Properly equipped, the RT model can tow up to 3800 lbs. With a claimed 0-60 time of 6.3s, the hot-rod styled station wagon appears to be in a class by itself. The model range spans from the low twenties to the low thirties.

What Changed:

The all-new Magnum replaces the FWD Intrepid. The large wagon features seating for 5 and is available in both RWD and AWD versions. Engine choices include 2.7L and 3.5L V6s and a 5.7L HEMI V8.
