The G6 replaces one of Pontiac's volume leaders, the Grand Am. Based on the FWD Epsilon architecture, the G6 should take a giant step forward in sophistication. At launch, the G6 will be offered in two trim levels, G6 and G6 GT. Both versions are powered by a 200hp 3.5L V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic. The new G6 has a 5 in longer wheelbase, yet the overall length is almost 3 in shorter, resulting in a more rakishly styled sedan. The G6 lineup will eventuall add more powertrain options and a coupe.
