- Saab gets a copy of the Impreza wagon for sale as the 9-2X. The 9-2X Linear is powered by the 165 hp boxer 4, whereas the 9-2X Aero is powered by the 227 hp WRX engine. Available in July, 2004 the 9-2X will be offered for around $25k.
- 2005 Saab 9-7X
- Saabs first-ever SUV comes by way of the GMs ubiquitous mid-sized SUV. The 9-7X will be offered in two "forms," Linear and Arc. The Linear is powered by the 275 hp Vortec 4200 I-6 whereas the Arc is powered by the Vortec 5300 V8.
