The A4 cabriolet is an understated and competent convertible coupe. Spanning a fairly wide price range from the $40,000 entry-level four-cylinder model to the range-topping $55,000 V8-powered S4 performance model, the A4 most directly competes with the BMW 3-series convertible. The A4 features a slick fully-automatic power-operated soft top that operates with a simple button push. As nice as the top is, a number of models are headed to market featuring convertible hard tops. The one feature that sets the A4 apart is Audi's outstanding quattro all-wheel-drive system. The A4 Cabriolet will be updated in 2006 to adopt the new Audi family single-frame grille.
