The A4 sedan is the heart of the Audi lineup. The A4 is available in an impressive number of mechanical configurations including 4-cylinder, V6, and V8 power, FWD and AWD configurations. The more reasonably priced $30,000 turbocharged four-cylinder and $35,000 V6 model models also offer a lot of performance for the money. As good as the A4 is it competes in what may be the most competitive segment in the whole industry featuring standouts like the BMW 3-series, Infiniti G35 and the revamped Lexus IS, all offering models in the low to mid 30s.
