Unlike most other sport utility vehicles, Mazda has tuned the Tribute for on-road handling. Compact exterior dimensions allow this Mazda to be at home in an urban environment, yet still haul cargo like an SUV. Buyers not living in the Snow Belt may prefer the FWD Tribute for its superior mileage. A standard 153-bhp 2.3L I-4 can be substituted with a 200-bhp 3.0L V-6. A 5-speed manual (2.3L only) or 4-speed automatic is available. Equipped with the Tow Package, the Tribute can trailer up to 3,500 lbs. (V-6 only).
