The compact C-Class sedans range from the entry-level C230 to the pricey C55 AMG sport sedan. With styling that nearly duplicates the S-Class sedan; the C-Class is certainly attractive in an understated way. Even though the C-Class is a compact sedan, it has features and options that are common in larger luxury sedans. Engine choices range from a 201-bhp 2.5L V-6, 228-bhp 3.0L V-6, 268-bhp 3.5L V-6, and a 362-bhp 5.5L supercharged V-8 in the C55 AMG. Available transmissions include 5 & 7-speed automatics, as well as a 6-speed manual.

What Changed:

The C-Class sedan receives a number of powertrain changes. The C230 is powered by a 201hp, 2.5L V6. The C280 is powered by a 228hp 3.0L V6. The C350 benefits from the 268hp, 3.5L V6 that showed up across the Mercedes-Benz lineup in 2006.
