This is the most luxurious and expensive coupe offered by Mercedes-Benz. With power and room to spare, the CL coupe is all about indulgence. Engine choices include a 302-bhp 5.0L V-8, 493-bhp twin-turbo 5.5L V-12 or supercharged V-8, and a mind-boggling 604-bhp twin-turbo 6.0L V-12. Only 5-speed or 7-speed (CL500) automatic transmissions are available. The AMG models (CL55 AMG, CL65 AMG) offer straight-line performance that can only be exploited on a racetrack or the autobahn. Various available "designo" packages combine interior and exterior trim in a color coordinated theme.
