Arguably one of the most stylish midsize family sedan, the Altima made a big splash when it was introduced in 2002. Since then, Nissan has continually refined the Altima with an upgraded interior and refined exterior styling. Engine choices include a 2.5L I-4 or 3.5L V-6. A choice of automatic or manual transmissions is available with both engines. The sporty Altima SE-R, equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, high output 3.5L V-6, and 6-speed manual (or 5-speed automatic), is the hot ticket for enthusiasts. The Altima is due to be updated in 2007.
