Since 1981, the Maxima has been Nissan's flagship sedan. The latest version boldly stands out with its unique styling and luxury features. Maximas have been known for their world-class engines, and the 265-bhp 3.5L V-6 does not disappoint. Available in two trim levels, the SL is luxury oriented, while the SE aims to be a sports sedan. Transmission options include a standard 5-speed automatic or optional 6-speed manual (SE). Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) is available on automatic transmission equipped Maximas. Audiophiles will appreciate the available 320-watt Bose(R) CD stereo system. An optional Elite package substitutes rear bucket seats for the standard bench seating, and adds unique burnt orange/black interior trim.
