Distinctive styling makes the Grand Prix immediately recognizable as a Pontiac. To enhance its performance image, the new Grand Prix GXP has an aluminum 5.3L V-8 crammed into the engine bay. This motor cranks out a massive 303-bhp/323 lb-ft, with Displacement on Demand (DOD) to minimize fuel consumption. Standard Stabilitrak(R) stability control, combined with wider front wheels and tires helps control the inevitable torque steer. Lesser models are equipped with a 200-bhp 3.8L V-6, or a supercharged version with 260-bhp. All models use a 4-speed automatic, although the GXP has TAPshift gear change paddles on the steering wheel for more control. If you're looking for a powerful front wheel drive sedan, the Grand Prix GXP is worth a look.
