Porsche has updated the race-ready GT3 to the new 911 platform. As expected, the new GT3 has even more power, now up to 415-bhp from the 3.6L flat-6. Redline has been raised to an impressive 8,400 RPM. An updated 6-speed manual has shorter ratios for 2nd-6th gears for faster acceleration. To optimize shift timing, the GT3 has a tachometer upshift indicator. Despite the high-revving engine, Porsche claims 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds, 0-100 mph in 8.7 seconds, and a top speed of 193 mph. A new active suspension (PASM) with a Sport mode should improve track handling.
