Dodge replaced the slow-selling Stratus with the new Avenger sedan. While the original Avenger was a sporty coupe, the new incarnation intends to battle the Accord and Camry sedans. Dodge offers the Avenger in FWD and AWD models. Engine choices include 2.4L I-4 (173-bhp), 2.7L V-6 (189-bhp) or 3.5L V-6 (235-bhp). The 3.5L engine gets a 6-speed automatic, while the smaller engines are equipped with a 4-speed automatic. Available features include heated/cooled front cupholders, MyGIG hard disk audio system, and DVD rear entertainment system. The new Avenger promises to be a more competitive offering than the forgettable Stratus.
