Hyundai is steadily building an impressive portfolio of new cars. The newest Elantra is the latest new Hyundai model that significantly improves upon its predecessor. That's good because the compact Elantra sedan competes in one of the most crowded segments in the industry. The FWD Elantra sedan features a standard 138 hp four-cylinder engine with continuously variable valve timing. Transmission choices are limited to either a 5-speed manual and four-speed automatic, which is typical in the segment. Elantra distances itself from its competitors by offering features that are uncommon in competitive offerings like 6 standard air bags, four wheel disc brakes, a fully-independent suspension and optional heated leather seats. Elantra is offered in three trim levels: GLS, SE and Limited.
