Mazda used to make a 5-door 626 in the 1980's, and they have resurrected this practical configuration with the Mazda6. The hatch adds cargo carrying capacity simply unavailable with a conventional sedan, with the added bonus of an even sleeker profile. A standard 160-bhp 2.3L I-4 can be replaced with a 215-bhp 3.0L V-6. Transmission choices are: 5-speed manual, 5-speed automatic, or 6-speed automatic. Options include a navigation system, 200-watt Bose(R) 6-disc CD changer audio system, 18-inch alloy wheels, and Xenon HID lights.
