A choice of 3.6L or 3.8L flat-6 engines provides more power and torque than ever before. Although the Carrera S has the 3.8L motor, it is significantly more expensive than the base Carrera. A vast array of pricey options allows customers to personalize their 911.
The 2009 911 features new 3.6 liter and 3.8 liter engines. Horsepower on the 3.6 liter flat six is up 20 horsepower to 345. The 3.8 liter gains 30 horsepower. An optional 7-speed double-clutch transmission replaces the 6-speed Tiptronic automatic. On the outside, a revised front bumper features a larger air intake and LED daytime running lights. LED tail lamps are standard on all models.
