The latest Suburban is the most refined vehicle to ever wear the name. The enormous proportions and clean exterior styling have helped it to maintain its position at the top of the segment. Stabilitrak(R) stability control is standard. The standard 5.3L and 6.0L V-8 (3/4 ton models) engines have Active Fuel Management(TM). Active Fuel Management(TM) allows the engine to run on 4-cylinders under light load conditions, for improved fuel economy. The standard 17-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 18-inch or 20-inch alloys on some models. A dedicated Z71 off-road model is available.

What Changed:

All 1500 (1/2 ton) models now include a 5.3L V8. All 2500 (3/4 ton) models equip a 6.0L V8. Both engines have variable valve timing, cylinder deactivation and can run on ethanol.
