A popular compact SUV, the Honda CR-V has been a benchmark in its class. The standard powertrain is a 2.4L I-4, coupled to a 5-speed automatic. Standard safety items include ABS, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), and front side airbags. Three trim levels are offered: LX, EX and EX-L (EX with leather). All trim levels are offered with either FWD or Honda's Real Time(R) 4WD system. The CR-V has a surprisingly luxurious interior for its class.
The 2010 CR-V features a number of styling changes and improvements. Changes to the exterior include a pronounced upper grille and front bumper. A new rear bumper lowers the transition from the body color to the contrasting trim. Interior changes include changes to seat fabric, carpet and the instrument panel finish. The revised 2.4L four cylinder now produces 180-bhp while increasing fuel economy by 1 MPG.
