The GX460 is a rugged luxury SUV slotted between the car-like RX350 and the LX570. A 4.6L V-8 and 6-speed automatic are the only powertrain available. Although the GX460 shares the same platform as the Toyota 4Runner, it features an optional KDSS (Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System) that reduces body roll & sway up to 50% during cornering, without compromising ride. Traction Control (TRAC), ABS, Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) provide maximum safety on the road and off-road. Interior luxury options include a rear seat DVD entertainment system, DVD Navigation, and a premium Mark Levinson audio system. The GX 460 includes three rows of seating for up to 7 passengers, but that leaves a scant 4.1 cubic feet of storage behind the third row.

What Changed:

The GX is overhauled for 2010 with new styling and a new 4.6L V8 resulting in a new name, GX 460. The new model shorter and heavier, but otherwise the same size as the previous model. The new interior features a power-folding third row of seats and a middle row that can slide fore/aft by 4.1 inches. The GX retains it's side hinged door, but gains a flip-up glass section for quick access.
