The Camaro adds a four-passenger convertible to the lineup. The convertible top is a power operated fabric top that retracts in about 20 seconds. Powertrain choices for the convertible mirror those of the coupe: a 3.6l V6 in LT models and a 6.2l V8 in SS models. Both offer a choice of a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The Cruze is Chevrolet's new compact sedan, which effectively replaces the Cobalt. Compared to the Cobalt the Cruze is wider and has a longer wheelbase resulting in a bigger interior. The base engine is a 1.8l four cylinder rated at 136-bhp. Higher trim levels are equipped with a 1.4l turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 138-bhp. The 1.4l has a significantly higher torque rating of 148 lb-ft. Six-speed manual and automatic transmissions are offered.
The new Volt is a rechargeable electric vehicle with a small gasoline engine used to provide power when the battery is depleted. This enables electric only operation for 25 to 50 miles with the security of the gas motor for longer range when required.
