The MX-5 (Miata) has long been one of the best rides available for under 30k. A 2.0L four-cylinder produces 166 hp and can be combined with either manual or automatic transmissions. Already the model of simplicity, the MX-5 is also offered with an optional retractable hardtop that has almost no tradeoffs.
