The Fiat lineup has gained a larger four-door, five passenger model named the 500L. This model is significantly larger than the diminutive coupe with proportions that rival subcompact 5-door models like the Ford Focus and Toyota Matrix. A standard 1.4l turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides power to the front wheels. Both manual and automatic six-speed transmissions are available. Four trim levels are offered ranging from the entry-level Pop to the top trim-level Trekking model. The 500L is due in showrooms in mid-2013.
Fiat adds a new larger four-door, five-passenger model to its lineup for 2014. The 500L is significantly larger than the 500 coupe. It is 27 inches longer with a 12 in. longer wheelbase. Track width increases by about 4 inches and the 500L is over 5 inches wider overall. The 500L is also much taller, adding some 6 inches in height over the coupe. Power is provided by a turbocharged 1.4l four cylinder rated at 160-bhp. Multiple trim levels will be offered including: Pop, Easy, Lounge and Trekking.
