The market for mid-sized sedans is so competitive that it is hard for good products like the Mazda6 to find the sales success of the segment leaders. The third generation Mazda6 is a stylish sedan with a large interior. Mazda offers three trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The only available engine is a 2.5l four-cylinder paired with either a manual or automatic transmission. Mazda offers an optional regenerative braking feature (i-ELOOP) to further increase fuel efficiency to an impressive 28/40 (city/hwy). With pricing ranging from the low twenties to just over $30,000, the Mazda6 is priced competitively with others in the segment.

What Changed:

The Mazda6 is all-new for 2014. Although the side profile is familiar, the new model wears more expressive front and rear styling on a body that is slightly shorter in height and overall length. The standard engine is a 2.5l four-cylinder rated at 184-bhp and 185 lb-ft of torque. The range will offer both a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission.
