Established early in 20th century, Maserati gained glory in Formula 1 racing in the 1950s. Most of its production cars have been luxurious coupes and sedans, although the Ghibli and Bora were certainly alternatives to contemporary Lamborghinis and Ferraris. After years of financial struggle, Maserati found stability as a brand owned by Fiat and new products like the Ghibli sedan are increasing sales.
