What Changed
Volkswagen's sedan, the Jetta, receives a new model for 1997. The new Jetta joins the GL, GT and GLX models. The GT is a 4-cylinder Jetta with the aggressive exterior treatment of the GLX model. All 4-cylinder Jettas receive the same engine updates as the Golf. The GLX model receives new 7-spoke alloy wheels.
