The Equator is Suzuki's first pickup truck for the US market. The Equator is a variant of the Nissan Frontier and is manufactured by Nissan. The Equator wears a large front grille to distinguish it from the Frontier. The standard 152-bhp 2.5L I-4 can be replaced with a 261-bhp 4.0L V-6. The Equator is offered in two cab styles: extended cab and crew cab. The Equator can tow up to 6300 lbs. depending on the model. Suzuki offers just a handful of Equator models. Since its introduction in 2009, the Suzuki Equator has served the varied needs of Suzuki's motorcycle, ATV and outboard motor owners, many of whom were happy to find a reliable pickup truck from a familiar source.
