- Overview
The Mustang convertible is all-new for 2005. Mustang rides on an all-new platform that is 6-inches longer in wheelbase. Power is supplied to the rear wheels by either a 200hp V6 in the base model or a 300hp V8 in the GT model. The Mustang retains its solid rear axle. At 25k for the V6 coupe and $30k for the 300hp GT, the Mustang convertible is a solid bargain.
