Midsize wagons are a specialty of Volvo, and the latest V70 is the third iteration of this popular model. Available in FWD or AWD, the V70 is powered by a 235-bhp 3.2L inline-6 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic. Volvo claims a 0-60 MPH time of 7.8 seconds for the V70. Available options include a navigation system, wood trim, power tailgate, adaptive cruise control, front and rear park assist, leather seats, and roof rails. The V70 has a comprehensive set of safety features such as collision warning, lane departure warning, driver alert control, stability control (DSTC), and blind spot information system (BLIS). Cargo capacity with the rear seats folded is 72.1 cu. ft. (33.3 cu. ft. with the seats up). Towing capacity is 3,300 lbs.
Volvo has restyled the V70 and XC70 wagons for 2007. The new V70 wagon longer and wider than the model it replaces. Power comes from a 235 hp inline-six. The all-wheel-drive XC70 variant is taller and longer than the V70.
