The X1 is new for 2023. The new model is longer (1.7 in), wider (.9 in), and taller (1.7 in) than the model it replaced. In the US, the sole powertrain is a 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
The all-new Colorado comes in just one wheelbase and one cab configuration. A 2.7l turbo is standard, but the output changes by model. Trim levels include WT, LT, Z71, and ZR2. A Trail Boss variant adds a lifted suspension and wider stance.
The new G80 Electrified is a dedicated battery electric variant of the G80 luxury sedan. The dual-motor all-wheel drive G80 rated at 365 hp. The G80 Electrified is only available in select markets in the United States.
The GV60 is a new small crossover vehicle available exclusively as a battery-electric model. The GV60 is offered in two trims - Advanced and Performance. The AWD Advanced model is rated at 313 horsepower. The upscale Performance model has an upgraded front motor for a combined rating of 429 bhp. The GV60 is only available in limited numbers in a limited number of markets in the US.
The all-new Canyon comes in just one wheelbase and one cab configuration. A 2.7l turbo is standard. Trim levels include Elevation, AT4, AT4X, and Denali. The AT4X variant adds a lifted suspension and wider stance.
The all-new Ioniq 6 is an aerodynamic sedan built on Hyundai's Electric modular platform. The Ioniq 6 is offered in three trim levels, SE, SEL and Limited, in both RWD and AWD guise. For all but the entry level standard range model, the battery is rated at 77.4 kwh.
The Grecale is a new crossover that slots below the Levante in Maserati's lineup. At launch, the Grecale is available in three trim levels each with its own powertrain. The GT is powered by a 296-bhp 2.0-liter turbo four. The Modena equips a 2.0l turbo hybrid powertrain. The top Trofeo model equips a 3.0l V6 hybrid rated at 523 horsepower.
The EQS SUV is an all-new dedicated battery electric large crossover. Models are tied to different powertrain configurations and output levels, but all models share the same 108.4 kwh battery. The EQS SUV is 5-passenger, but 7-passenger seating is optional.
The Outlander PHEV model updates to the new Outlander design. The PHEV system in the Outlander pairs a 2.4l four-cylinder with electric motors. System output is rated at 248 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. The 20kwh battery pack is rated for up to 38 miles of electric only driving.
Nissan's newest all-electric vehicle is the Ariya crossover. The five passenger Ariya will offered in both FWD and AWD models, rated at 238-bhp and 389-bhp respectively. All models equip a 91kwh battery pack which should provide up to 300 miles of range.
The Polestar 3 is a new 5-passenger battery electric vehicle. The dual motor Polestar 3 is rated at 489 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque. An optional performance pack ups the ante to 517 horsepower and 671 lb-ft of torque. A 111-kWh battery should provide up to 300 miles of driving range.
The Solterra is an all-new dedicated battery electric vehicle that is related to the Toyota Bz4x. In Subaru's lineup, the Solterra slots between the Crosstrek and Forester for interior volume. With standard all-wheel drive, system output is rated at 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. A 72.8 kWh battery pack gives the Solterra 222-228 miles of range depending on the model.
The new Bz4x is dedicated battery electric vehicle related to the Subaru Solterra and Lexus RZ. Offered in FWD, and AWD models, the 5-passenger crossover slots somewhere between the Corolla Cross and RAV4 in terms of passenger volume. The electric drive system is rated at 201 horsepower for FWD models (214 AWD). The FWD model equipped with a 71.4 kWh battery pack is rated at up to 252 miles of range.
A long running Toyota nameplate adorns an all-new full-size sedan with crossover styling elements. The Crown is roughly 4 inches longer and taller than the Camry, but otherwise similarly sized. Powertrain options include two all-wheel-drive hybrid powertrains. Crown XLE and Limited equip a 2.5l four cylinder and CVT with a system horsepower rating of 236-bhp. The top Platinum trim includes a 2.4l turbocharged hybrid system rated at 340-bhp.
Toyota's all-new GR Corolla is an AWD hot hatch with over 300-bhp. The powertrain consists of a 1.6-liter inline 3-cylinder turbo with all-wheel drive and a standard 6-speed manual transmission. The Morizo edition removes the back seat for weight savings and increased performance.
Toyota's long-running dedicated hybrid model, the Prius is all-new for 2023. The new model is longer, wider and shorter in height than the previous generation. A new 2.0l hybrid powertrain is rated at 194 horsepower and is available with FWD or AWD. The instrument cluster moves from the center of the car to behind the steering wheel and the instrument panel now sports a large widescreen infotainment screen.
The Sequoia is all-new for 2023 marking the first major upgrade in over 15 years. The new model is longer and has a wider track but is overall similar in size to the outgoing model. A new hybrid electric 3.4l V6 powertrain rated at 437-bhp replaces the 381 horsepower V8 engine in the prior generation. Trim levels include the familiar SR5, Limited, Platinum and TRD trims, but a new Capstone model takes its place at the top of the model range.
Hybrid trim levels expanded to LE, SE, and XLE. AWD is now optional on Hybrid models. Non-hybrid model trims reduced to LE, SE, and XSE. Power and fuel economy numbers are improved across all models.
The Encore GX is updated for 2024 with revised styling and new virtual cockpit system. The Avenir trim level is now available. The model is the first to adopt the updated tri-shield Buick logo.
