- 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
- All-new 4-door model is based on the E-series platform. Mercedes calls the CLS a 4-door coupe, but four traditional full-sized door seem to indicate otherwise. Two models offered: the 300hp CLS500 and the 469hp CLS55 AMG. The former being paired with the industry's first 7-speed automatic transmission.
- 2006 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
- All-new second generation M-class is significantly longer and wider than the model it replaces. Two engines are offered: a 3.5L V6 in the ML350 and a 5.0L V8 in the ML500. Both engines are mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
- 2006 Mercedes-Benz R-Class
- All-new sport wagon featuring 3 rows of seating is roughly the size of the Sienna minivan only giving up a few inches of height. The R class is offered with a choice of a 3.5L V6 or 5.0L V8. A seven-speed automatic and all-wheel-drive are standard.

- New entry-level, short-wheelbase S350 model added. New S65 AMG added as the top of the line S-Class.

- 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan
- The C-Class sedan receives a number of powertrain changes. The C230 is powered by a 201hp, 2.5L V6. The C280 is powered by a 228hp 3.0L V6. The C350 benefits from the 268hp, 3.5L V6 that showed up across the Mercedes-Benz lineup in 2006.
