The Edge is an all-new sport wagon based on the Ford Fusion platform. Offered in FWD and AWD, the Edge is powered by a new 3.5L V6 rated at 265 bhp. A six-speed automatic is standard. The interior has two rows of seating for up to 5 passengers.
The Expedition receives a significant update for 2007. The 2007 Expedition features an all-new chassis, updated exterior and interior styling. A new front end bears the prominent grille that is becoming a Ford styling trait, but in profile, changes are more subtle. The successful Explorer Sport Trac moves to the new re-engineered Explorer platform resulting in a signicant increase in size and the refinement of an independent rear suspension. Sport Trac is offered with both V6 and V8 engines in 4x2 or 4x4 configurations. An SVT version was planned but discontinued as part of Ford's restructuring plans.
