All-new C-Class has grown in length and width. Mercedes offers a choice of Sport and Luxury models in both RWD and AWD. The range spans from the entry-level C300 all they way up to the limited production C63 AMG sedan.
Mercedes-Benz's half-million dollar super car offers a new roadster version for 2008. Like the coupe it features a 617-hp V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
The CL63 AMG and CL65 AMG models joins the lineup. A 6.3L V8 provides the power for the CL63, whereas the CL65 is a 6.0L V-12. The V8 engine is rated at 518 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. In the CL65, the V-12 is rated at 604 bhp and 738 lb-ft of torque. Monstrous 20 inch wheels are shod with 255/35ZR20 tires in the front and 275/35ZR20 in the back.
The CLK63 AMG Black Series coupe joins the lineup. A 500 hp V8 is mated to a seven speed transmission. The Black Series coupe also features more agressive bodywork and a height adjustable suspension.
The ML550 replaces the ML500. The ML550 features AMG bodywork, 19 inch wheels and running boards. 19 inch wheels become standard on the ML320 CDI and ML350. A 10 year anniversary limited edition ML350 will be offered Fall, 2007
The R Class is now offered in RWD in addition to AWD. The R500 and R63 AMG models have been discontinued. The remaining R320 CDI and R350 models feature AMG bodywork and 18 inch wheels. On the inside, an optional bench seat is available to allow 7 passenger seating.
